Movies!

We had our very first family movie theater experience yesterday. Surprisingly, it went over very well. I was a little apprehensive about bringing a four and two year old to the theater, but they both seemed to enjoy it. Veronica got a little restless after the first hour. The popcorn was gone and so was her candy by that point. She wanted to be held, wanted me to take her shoes off (?), and she was dying to walk up and down the steps (no! no!) Valerie did pretty good and the movie was almost over when she started saying she was ready to go. And we only had to make one bathroom trip!! Two hours and $50 later, we had actually watched an entire movie in the theater!! Hopefully this will be a continuing trend as I really miss going to the movies. Now if only Clint and I could find a way to go together with out the kiddos!!!

We saw "Up" which was really cute with the endearing friendship between the old man and the little boy. It was sad too though. The beginning showed the old man as a young boy. He meets this girl playing adventure. They grow up, get married, buy a house, find out they can't have children (?), grow old, and the wife dies leaving a sad, lonely, old man. I know it was part of the back story, but why does someone die in almost every Disney cartoon?
