I said goodbye to my Dad's truck today.
The guy who bought it got a great deal. Where else can you find a 1998 Chevy S-10 in great condition with only 38,000 miles on it?? Only from and old man who bought it just because and never drove it.I remember when Dad drove up in the driveway with it. He had been out and about town, and out of the blue he comes home in a truck. He wanted us to look at it because he was thinking about buying it. Which was HUGE. Even though he had the money, he didn't like spending it. I told him to buy it; he deserved it. It was the single thing he ever wanted, and when he was an old man he might say I wish I would have bought myself a truck. He bought it the next day - cash. He drove it around town. We borrowed it when we needed to move something. Val and Roni played in it. Mostly it sat parked on the side driveway.
It made me sad, very, very sad to sign it over. And I'm sure I'll shed more tears when my Mom's car is sold too.

Oh my gosh, that totally looks like my husband's truck, only in much much better condition! (stupid deer)
I remember the agony I felt when my Grandma's last cat died (she was a HUGE cat lover and it felt like our last real tie to her) so I can totally understand how sad selling this truck is. Hugs to you.
